EFCC DETAINS FORMER PRESIDENTIAL SPOKEMAN REUBEN ABATI

Former Presidential Spokesman and serial columnist, Mr. Reuben Abati has been detained by Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the EFCC.
An agency source who confirmed the development said Abati is being questioned as part of a wide probe into the misappropriation of funds earmarked to purchase arms for the military in the fight against terror.
Abati, who was arrested on Monday, is alleged to have received money from former NSA, Sambo Dasuki, who is also being tried for misappropriating the funds amongst several other charges.
 The funds were allegedly used to prosecute the 2015 presidential election on behalf of the Goodluck Jonathan presidential campaign.
