OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Oakland lost its third police boss in eight days Friday as it battles with affirmations that various officers engaged in sexual relations with a young whore and traded supremacist instant messages.
Leader Libby Schaaf said acting Police Chief Paul Figueroa was at work for two days before venturing down however said his choice was not associated with the two embarrassments.
Nonetheless, she reprimanded the division's "harmful, macho culture" and pledged to find "the rotten ones."
"As the leader of Oakland, I'm here to run a police division, not a fraternity house," Schaaf told a news gathering Friday evening.
Schaaf said she won't quickly select an acting or break boss. Rather, the order staff will answer to City Administrator Sabrina Landreth, who will be in charge of work force and disciplinary choices.
