Ex Nigeria mentor Stephen Keshi kicks the bucket at 54

The previous Super Birds head mentor had lost Kate, his better half of 35 years, to disease last December.

In an announcement, family representative Emmanuel Ado affirmed Keshi passed on of heart failure in the early hours of Wednesday.

"With thanksgiving to God, the Ogbuenyi Fredrick Keshi group of Illah in Oshimili North Nearby Government Zone of Delta State, declares the passing of Mr. Stephen Okechukwu Chinedu Keshi," Mr. Ado composed.

"Our child, sibling, father, father-in-law, brother by marriage, has gone to be with his significant other of 35 years (Nkem ), Mrs. Kate Keshi, who went on the ninth December 2015.

"Since her demise, Keshi has been in grieving. He returned to Nigeria to be with her. He had wanted to fly back today Wednesday, before he endured a heart failure. He has discovered rest," finished up the announcement.
